"Working with Sarah has been a truly enlightening and nourishing experience. I can’t recommend treating yourself to a session with her enough." - LR
Do you feel like no one listens to you about your own body? Like you know something is off, but you haven't been able to express it? Are you frustrated by the narrow focus on symptoms, and seeking a more holistic approach to your health? Does the supplement aisle overwhelm you, or are you concerned about the alcohol in commercial herbal remedies? Do you want to make your own remedies but don't know what herbs to start with?
Herbal medicine is one of the greatest gifts I have encountered in my life. The ability to take our health into our own hands, make informed decisions about the medications and supplements we consume, and move into a space of radiant interaction with our own wellbeing is at the core of herbal medicine. It is my honor to help you on your own path.
Holistic Herbal Consultations are informational sessions designed to engage you in the process of your own health journey. After you complete a thorough intake form, we spend an hour together either in-person in Asheville, NC or via Skype/phone where you have the opportunity to share your story. No detail is too small, not pain or experience too insignificant. It is through the honest and heart-centered expression of your experience that we will begin to develop an empowered path forward.
After your session, I will craft a suggested protocol for your information that may include herbal remedies, flower and stone essences, energetic and ritual work, and lifestyle changes. Herbs are not included in the cost of this session, and when possible I will offer remedies from my alcohol-free apothecary at a discounted rate. If you are interested in making your own remedies, I will provide guidance. After you receive your protocol, you are welcome to engage me via email with any questions or concerns. Shorter follow-up sessions are available as needed.
My focus as an herbalist has been on mental health and addiction, with my body and brain as my primary experiment. I use no alcohol in my remedies, and am familiar with the concerns of folks looking to limit or eliminate potentially addictive or harmful substances from their healthcare. I hold a 450-hour Holistic Herbalist certification from the Blue Ridge School of Herbal Medicine, and completed a 150-hour Herbal Medicine Making course with the Chestnut School. I am not a doctor, nor a licensed professional of any kind. These sessions are for informational purposes only, and are not intended to diagnose or treat any disease. You are encouraged to speak with your healthcare provider about all herbal remedies you decide to use.
